How to Cook White Beans in a Different and Delicious Way

I will give you a quick way to cook white beans at home easily.

    • Meat (beef or chicken, your choice)
    • Carrot
    • Green, yellow, or red fresh pepper
    • Tomato
    • Tomato paste

Let's Start Our Recipe:

  1. In a bowl, add 500g of white beans and wash them well. In a saucepan, place the beans on low heat without adding water. Stir continuously until the water inside the beans dries, but do not burn them. Add 2 cups of water and cook on medium heat for 2-3 hours. Cover with a lid and check occasionally, adding more water if needed.

  2. Chop three medium-sized onions after washing them well. In a pan on medium heat, add some cooking oil (olive oil). Once heated, add the onions and sauté until golden brown.

  3. Cut and wash your chosen meat (chicken or beef). Add it to the onions along with 2 cups of water, one vegetable stock cube, and some salt. Wash and cut two medium-sized tomatoes into quarters and add them to the meat. Add half a teaspoon of black pepper, half a teaspoon of coriander, and one teaspoon of garlic. Mix well and cover with a lid. If using beef, cook until soft, adding only 1 cup of water if needed. If using chicken, 15 minutes is enough for it to be well-cooked.

  4. While the meat is cooking, wash and slice the green, yellow, or red peppers into thin slices. Set aside. Wash the parsley and dill, remove the stems, chop finely, and set aside. Peel and wash the ginger, then cut it into small squares. Wash and cut the carrot into equal sizes. Add the carrot and ginger to the meat.

  5. Once the meat is ready, add the peppers and mix well, ensuring the sauce is neither too thick nor too runny. If the beans are ready, drain them well and add them to the sauce along with 2 teaspoons of tomato paste, 1 teaspoon of curry powder, and half a teaspoon of ground cumin. Mix everything well and cover for 5-7 minutes until the consistency is thick.

  6. Serve the white beans with white rice and sprinkle dill and parsley on top for extra flavor.
